Sir Geoffrey Chaucer’s Life and Works A famous poet, which later know as the father of poetry, Sir Geufray Chaucer was born Around 1340 on Thames street London, England His father, Jon Chaucer, was a prosperous wine trader, and also the king's butler's vintner and deputy.
